Descaling Your Fellow Aiden Brewer

Seeing the "Add Water" Message? Here's How to Fix It!

A step-by-step guide to effectively descale your Aiden Precision Coffee Maker, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Why Descaling is Important

Over time, mineral deposits from water can accumulate inside your coffee maker, affecting its performance and the taste of your coffee. Regular descaling removes these deposits, maintaining the machine's efficiency and ensuring a consistently great-tasting brew.

Materials Needed

    • Descaling solution (E27434-1)
    • Fresh water
    • A container to catch the used solution
Step-by-Step Descaling Process

  1. Prepare the Descaling Solution - Refer to the manufacturer's guidelines to mix the appropriate amount of descaling solution with water.
    1. For Cafetto E27434-1 - Use 125mL of Organic Descaler to 875mL of water to make up 1L of descaling solution.
  2. Fill the Water Reservoir - Pour the prepared descaling solution into the coffee maker's water reservoir.
  3. Initiate the Descaling Cycle - Place the empty container under the coffee outlet to collect the used solution.
  4. Start the brewing process without adding any coffee grounds, allowing the machine to run as if brewing a regular cup of coffee.
  5. Rinse the Machine - After the descaling cycle is complete, empty the water reservoir and rinse it thoroughly.
  6. Fill the reservoir with fresh water.
  7. Run at least two full brewing cycles with fresh water to remove any residual descaling solution from the machine.
Additional Tips

  • Frequency of Descaling: It's recommended to descale your Aiden Precision Coffee Maker every 3 to 6 months, depending on the hardness of your water and frequency of use.
  • Use of Filtered Water: Using filtered water can reduce mineral buildup, potentially extending the time between descaling cycles.
  • Consult the User Manual: Always refer to the user manual for specific instructions and recommendations related to descaling and maintenance.
  • Regular maintenance, including descaling, is crucial for the longevity and performance of your coffee maker. By following these steps, you can ensure that your Aiden Precision Coffee Maker continues to deliver high-quality coffee with every brew.
